Blondie

I had 1 of my blonde moments today. I forgot to bring my purse this morning. I was rushingly (if that's a word) walking towards the MRT station when I searched my bag for my purse and couldn't find it. That's when the light bulb went on in my head and I've realised that I've left it in another bag. Dang it!!
Made a frantic phonecall to my helper and asked her to send the purse to me. She was going errrmmm ok but I can tell from her tone that she wasn't understanding what I was saying so I asked her to pass the phone to my mum. Told mum about what happened and she asked me to walk back and meet my helper halfway. It's a 7 minutes walk to the MRT from my house wearing heels. Yes, I timed myself when I wasn't in a hurry :) And guess what, I was feeling "wanita Melayu terakhir" today so I am in baju kurung and high heels and do you think I want to walk back home..... Nah, I don't think so.
To cut a long story short, I was late for work and had to pay $5.50 for cab fare. And that's only from Yew Tee Mrt to Sungei Kadut Loop (my middle of nowhere workplace)
So what's the moral of the story you ask.

The moral of the story is
1) not to wear baju kurung and high heels to work
2) not to change handbags to match your clothes
3) not to be a blonde
4) all of the above

Miz K is down with HFMD :(

My darling lil princess is down with HFMD. It is so sad for us as parents to see our active, vivacious and talkative baby girl to be so quiet. We actually miss her chot-chetchot-chet (stories) and her non-stop questions and story telling.

It started with her having fever on Thursday night so we brought her to the clinic bright and early on Friday morning. Doc prescribed some Nurofen and cough mixture for her. Then on Saturday night, she complained of having throat pain and difficulty in swallowing.I thought she was being her usual drama-mama style cos she refuses to have dinner. This just goes to show what a bo-chup mother, I am.

Hubby was at work so we decided to bring her to the clinic again on Sunday morning. After checking her, the Doctor confirmed that she have HFMD cos she got so MANY ULCERS in her throat and it IS very painful for her to swallow. She have a few red spots on her feet and a few on her hands also. Her doctor prescribed some lozenges and anti-imflammotary for her. She now seems to be on ice-cream diet only cos that's the only thing that she wants to eat .

Fortunately, hubby is off today so he can really look after her but I can't take leave tomorrow cos my boss is on leave *kwang kwang kwang*......... Unfortunately, Lil Bu is also having fever so praying hard that he won't get the same disease as his sister. 1 cranky kid is enuff to drive hubby up the wall........... can you imagine having 2?
