I had 1 of my blonde moments today. I forgot to bring my purse this morning. I was rushingly (if that's a word) walking towards the MRT station when I searched my bag for my purse and couldn't find it. That's when the light bulb went on in my head and I've realised that I've left it in another bag. Dang it!!Made a frantic phonecall to my helper and asked her to send the purse to me. She was going errrmmm ok but I can tell from her tone that she wasn't understanding what I was saying so I asked her to pass the phone to my mum. Told mum about what happened and she asked me to walk back and meet my helper halfway. It's a 7 minutes walk to the MRT from my house wearing heels. Yes, I timed myself when I wasn't in a hurry :) And guess what, I was feeling "wanita Melayu terakhir" today so I am in baju kurung and high heels and do you think I want to walk back home..... Nah, I don't think so.
To cut a long story short, I was late for work and had to pay $5.50 for cab fare. And that's only from Yew Tee Mrt to Sungei Kadut Loop (my middle of nowhere workplace)
So what's the moral of the story you ask.
The moral of the story is
1) not to wear baju kurung and high heels to work
2) not to change handbags to match your clothes
3) not to be a blonde
4) all of the above
